About the role
Join Babcock New Zealand in a pivotal leadership role where you'll define and shape major maritime projects before they enter delivery. Working across engineering, commercial, supply chain and operational teams, you'll transform strategic requirements into clearly defined, executable programmes that support critical defence and maritime capability.
This is an opportunity to influence high-value shipbuilding and ship repair projects from the earliest stages. You'll engage senior stakeholders, lead multidisciplinary teams, establish project baselines, and ensure projects are governance-ready for successful execution. If you thrive in complex environments and enjoy turning ambiguity into structured outcomes, this role offers genuine impact and visibility.
About you
You are an experienced project management professional who enjoys solving complex challenges and bringing clarity to large-scale programmes. Strong stakeholder engagement comes naturally to you, and you're comfortable influencing senior leaders and external partners. Most importantly, you're proactive, commercially aware, delivery-focused, and capable of turning strategic objectives into practical, achievable project outcomes.
