Creative Bridges is an AHRC funded centre for doctoral training led by the University of Leeds with the University of Warwick and industry partners. Creative Bridges will train PhD students in the latest knowledge, methods and skills to help make the UK screen industries more diverse and more sustainable. We are offering six studentships for 2026/27. Of these, four will be based at the University of Leeds and two at the University of Warwick.
Training and support will focus on your academic and professional development with year-round training and guidance. Bespoke annual one-day summer and winter symposia will contain tailored workshops, academic or industrial keynote speakers, hands-on tech demonstrations, networking, work in progress seminars, training courses and peer presentations. Placements of up to two weeks with an industry partner are also available, offering chances for learning, shadowing, or exposure to real-world media-diversity-sustainability challenges. Industry partners may also mentor you as you progress.
