Reed Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a leading Engineering & Manufacturing company.
We are recruiting a Mechanically Biased Maintenance Engineer for a days-only role within a heavy industrial / steel manufacturing environment.
The Role
- Planned preventative maintenance and mechanical fault-finding
- Maintenance of gearboxes, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, furnaces and cranes etc
- Support breakdowns, reliability improvements, and asset performance
- Supervise contractors and ensure safe working practices
- Log work via CMMS etc
- Work to LOLER, PUWER, and site safety standards
About You
- Mechanical engineering qualification or time-served apprenticeship
- Experience in steel, heavy manufacturing or Aerospace, Automotive, Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Defence, Glass, Aggregates etc or other manufacturing may be considered
- Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
- Safety-focused with good communication skills
