Role Purpose
The Income Generation and Partnerships Executive exists to drive sustainable revenue growth and strengthen the Nuclear Institute’s commercial relationships. This role is pivotal in maximising advertising, sponsorship and partnership opportunities across all NI platforms – including the Nuclear Future Magazine, digital channels and events – while ensuring alignment with the Institute’s values and strategic objectives. The role will grow existing and build new corporate relationships with advertisers and sponsors to enable the delivery of high-quality member services and events.

Job title: Income Generation & Partnerships Executive
Contract: Permanent
Working pattern: 0.8 FTE, 4 days per week
Salary: £24,000 per annum (£30,000 FTE)
Bonus: A discretionary sales incentive scheme will be introduced, linked to the achievement of agreed income and partnership targets. Details of the scheme, including measures and eligibility, will be confirmed following appointment and reviewed annually.
Annual leave entitlement: 25 days plus bank holidays, pro rata. At 0.8 FTE this equates to 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, calculated on a pro rata basis in line with NI policy.
Location: Wholly remote, UK based, with regular travel

Key Tasks
Income Generation and Relationship Management
- Research, develop and manage prospects and leads, converting opportunities into income through:
- Advertising in Nuclear Future (print and digital), including display advertising and advertorial content.
- Sponsorship of Nuclear Institute events, webinars and other activities.
- Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with existing and potential advertisers and sponsors.
- Embed a culture of relationship management across the organisation, supporting sponsor and income relationships across the full lifecycle.
- Develop and grow a portfolio of member benefits and commercial partnerships, including discounted products and services for NI members, building a structured and sustainable offer over time.
Commercial Operations
- Develop and implement strategies to maximise advertising, sponsorship and partnership income across all platforms (magazine, website, email and events).
- Create and maintain standardised packages, pitch decks and proposal documents, flexed to meet sponsor needs.
- Manage and deliver email solus campaigns and website advertising opportunities.
- Maintain a clear and accurate pipeline of opportunities and produce reporting across the full sales funnel.
- Manage the Nuclear Institute jobs board, including advertising and income generation.
Cross Team Collaboration and Delivery
- Work closely with the magazine editor and agency to ensure advertising and sponsored content is delivered to agreed specifications and deadlines.
- Support the Events team to deliver high quality events that meet both attendee and sponsor expectations.
- Maintain accurate records for leads, sales, contracts and invoicing within the CRM.
- Manage sponsor presence and information within the Nuclear Institute Events app.
- Ensure all commercial activity complies with Nuclear Institute values, policies and relevant regulations.
Personal Specification
Essential experience
- Proven track record in advertising sales, sponsorship, or income generation (ideally in publishing, membership, or events sectors).
- Experience of developing and implementing income generation strategies.
- Experience in the development of pipeline templates, pitch decks, and proposal documents and agreements.
Essential skills and knowledge
- Commercially astute, target driven, and results oriented.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a small team environment.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and reporting tools.

Flexibility and accessibility
We offer flexible hours and remote working options to accommodate individual needs. This role is wholly remote and can be carried out anywhere in the UK, with regular travel including monthly team meetings in London.
